CARPHONE WAREHOUSE GOES HELL FOR LEATHER FOR ITS MOST COLOURFUL CHRISTMAS YET

Today Carphone Warehouse unveiled its latest Christmas campaign, Colour Invasion, with a short, quirky video that breaks the mould of its usual creative style. The campaign is celebrating that Carphone Warehouse has the largest number of colour exclusive mobile phones than anywhere else this Christmas.

The 2 minute video uses an obviously gloomy seaside town as a backdrop and authentic bikers, with a visible twist. Dressed in unusually bright colours, the real life bikers create a visual juxtaposition as they descend as a pack, raining colour on the town. The campaign, created by CHI&Partners, has a little bit of fun with Carphone Warehouse’s exciting proposition this Christmas.

Julian Diment, Customer and Marketing Director at Carphone Warehouse says: “Having over 20 colour exclusives this Christmas has really allowed us to be a bit disruptive and irreverent with this concept. Where on earth would you ever see a pack of bikers dressed in bright colours, descend on a town over Christmas! The creative of Colour Invasion inspired us to be amusing, quirky and break the rules slightly with this campaign. We feel we are going to connect with our customers on a different level with this video and anticipate that amongst the huge range available, they will find the perfect coloured Christmas gift this year.”

Underpinned by the hashtag #colourinvasion, Carphone Warehouse will also be running a competition on their social channels from the 4th December*, giving customers the chance to win an exclusive colour handset every day for two weeks. All entrants also go into a prize draw to win the unusual Christmas present of a Harley Davidson.

The range available this Christmas includes the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in gold, the HTC M8 blue and pink and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in blue and gold.
