The Carphone Warehouse launches the LG Optimus One

The Carphone Warehouse will be stocking the LG Optimus One (P500) from today, 4th November. Running on Android Froyo 2.2, the latest version of the Android operating system, the phone is available from free with a £20 per month contract. The touch screen LG Optimus One is packed with powerful features but remains user-friendly and affordable, making it ideal for first-time Smartphone users.

The LG Optimus One is faster and easier to use than its predecessor the Optimus GT540 and comes with a range of enhancements such as wireless hotspot useability, a better web browser and sliding screens for multitasking. The device is also optimised for Google Mobile Services including Google Shopper and Google Maps with Navigation. With Adobe Flash integration and a crisp 3.2 inch touch screen watching videos on BBC iPlayer and YouTube will be faster and sharper than ever.

The LG Optimus One also features the brand new LG App Advisor which recommends 10 highly rated apps every fortnight so users are always informed of the latest available on the Android market. For social media fans, the phone already has built-in Facebook and Twitter apps and thanks to the impressive battery life, users will be able to enjoy all these apps for longer.

Multimedia lovers will not be disappointed with the built-in MP3 player, FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack.  Plus with the 3.2 Megapixel autofocus camera users can edit the shots with the brilliant face-recognition software and then upload them straight up to Facebook and Twitter or share them with others via Bluetooth 2.1. With support for microSD cards up to 32GB, and a 2GB card included with the phone, there’s plenty of room for storing all apps, games, photos, movies and music.
